Generation One
EQUIS is very pleased to support GenerationOne.
GenerationOne is a movement to bring ALL Australians together to end the disparity between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians in one generation - OUR generation.
Having grown up in the Northern Territory, in and around Indigenous communities, EQUIS’ founder has seen first-hand some of the disparities, which include:
- 29% of young Indigenous Australians are NOT earning or learning compared to 9% of non-Indigenous young people.
- In some areas, up to 70% of Indigenous students regularly do not attend school
- Indigenous unemployment is three times higher than non-Indigenous.
